I have been a foster parent to more than 40 children and
have adopted one, currently thirteen years old. Helping the children is in my
blood just as quilting is. I am involved in The Foster Parent Auxiliary of
Orange County www.fostercareaux.com
, who provides a lot of help and resources to foster families. I have
raffled several of my quilts, and will continue with a new quilt from
different makers each quarter with ALL proceeds going to the Auxiliary. If you would like a
chance to win, e-mail me to get my address and I will send your ticket upon
receipt of your dollar. The
winner will be notified by phone. See a picture and obtain all information of the
current and past quilts for raffle on the
win page.
If you have a quilt that you would like to donate for our
next raffle, please contact me.

This quilt was made with a Buggy Barn pattern in a class I
took at Leah's Fabric
Gallery in Orange, (contact them at
lfg4quilting@usa.net) with my mom and my sister. They haven't finished theirs yet,
but they don't have the 'bug' like I do. It won a first place ribbon at the
Orange County Fair. I named this quilt 'Quilters wish on quilted stars'.

I made this quilt for my 30 year old son with Eleanor
Burns Delectable Mountains instructions. I made the mountains from fabric
that I hand marbled. The name of the quilt is 'Climb Every
Mountain'…as those of you with grown children know, there are a lot of
mountains out there presenting them with many challenges. It won a second
place ribbon at the Orange County Fair.

I made this quilt from block of the month directions given
out at my guild…Orange Grove (visit them at their site
www.orangegrovequiltersguild.com) The ribbon border was pieced using the
book 'Elm Creek Quilts' by Jennifer Chiaverini and Nancy Odom for
directions. This quilt won an honorable mention at the fair and is pictured
mid quilted on my gammill on my home page.

This quilt uses Sue Olsen’s technique
’’design to free-motion line’’, which I converted so I could do it on my
longarm and her Dog Gone Quilts pattern titled ‘Jack’. I altered it to
create a portrait of our ‘Jettis’, the puppy my family raised and trained to
be a service dog. At the end of his training he was placed with
a 10 year old boy as a skilled companion. To find out more about ‘Canine Companions
